Post Cant add Category or Links

I am running a fresh install of wordpress 3.3.1 and RooLD 3.2.3 on windows 2008r2 and I can't add a category or a link, when I try they say they have been added but nothing happens, the tables are there and if I add a category directly to the table it appears in the category section, but i still can't add a link, any help?

Do you have Apache installed, or IIS? Did you try on a web server (with *unix)?

we are using IIS and we dont have a *NIX server

Do try it on a Linux server. I'd be happy to know that it works, so I can isolate and identify the problem, regarding IIS.
