This tip may be a little extreme, but it’s real. How do I know it? I experienced it. Ever since I started my money-making blog.

When you write about how to make money using Google’s AdSense, you let people know what’s AdSense, how does it work and how to customize it for best results. If I try to place AdSense banners inside my money-making blog, trying to hide it or integrate it with my blog design, people will still see them, because I learned and trained them best practices.

So, what’s the point of still placing AdSense units on my blog? There is small passive income from the old articles.

So, pay attention, decide from the early days of your money-making blog how you want to monetize it, and it should better not be AdSense. Those ad spots might be used for paid advertisement, paid banners, or affiliate links.

  1. Wow! That is a completely new way of thinking. Takes some getting used to though! Makes sense nevertheless. Thanks.

  2. I’m sorry but this post wasn’t very coherent for me when I tried to read it. You seem to be saying Adsense is not the best way to go, because other forms of advertising are more effective.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the subject. I will explore your site some more!

  3. Good point….I’m trying to find a few affiliate deals I can whole heartedly recommend to my readers.

  4. While most of the articles I came across with are promoting Google Adsense, you seem to be on the other side… I have nothing against your opinion though…This article is quite short but you made your point clear and that’s what writing freedom is all about. At least your readers have something to consider about Adsense.
