ImagePress 5.4.1 is now out and it includes a new feature: collections.
While going ahead with compatibility fixes and bug fixes on the 5.x line, ImagePress 6 needs more flexibility. I’m thinking of adding better cleanup/migration options, such as collection cleanup, image cleanup, orphan tags cleanup, options cleanup and more. The best way to implement a cleaning/maintenance function is to create a CRON job inside WordPress and allow it to run every day (or every week, depending on site’s activity).
Another feature is the image theme customizer. Specify colours, transparency settings, borders, item visibility and more. This requires rewriting most of the image grid code, though. On the same note, some predefined themes should be available, such as light, dark or unstyled. This should make the plugin more flexible and compatible with themes out there.
As lots of tiny features went into the latest versions, a settings section cleanup is required. Some options should be grouped differently, some should have more contextual help and some should default to certain values.
Are there any other features you would like to see?
