ImagePress 5.4 has been released!

ImagePress Collections

The main feature is the collections module, a new way to collect images in public or private collections and display them on the profile page (as a tab). The current version (5.4) labels the module as BETA and I need usage feedback and bug reports.

  • Note: In order to properly install and activate the collections module, you should deactivate and reactivate the plugin.

In order to test the collections, you need to create a page, called Collections, and place this shortcode:

[imagepress-show collection="1"]

You also need to add the “Add to collection” button, so use this code wherever you want the button to appear:

<?php ip_frontend_add_collection(get_the_ID()); ?>

Currently, the page name is hardcoded, but it will be customizable, both for flexibility and for translation purposes. Future versions will include several new shortcodes to display collections on any post or page. The next version is scheduled for Friday, May 1st, and it will contain all the fixes above, plus bug reports and user feedback.

Get the plugin and enjoy collecting!

Here’s the full single-image.php code:

<?php get_header(); ?>

<section id="content" role="main" class="ip-main">
    <?php if(have_posts()) : while(have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
        <article id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>" <?php post_class(); ?>>
            // BEGIN IMAGEPRESS CODE // 5.4
            if(function_exists('ip_main')) {
            // END IMAGEPRESS CODE

        <?php comments_template('', true); ?>
    <?php endwhile; endif; ?>

<?php get_footer(); ?>
