getButterfly Logo getButterfly code wrangling since 2005

So, I’ve stumbled upon this Joomla theme, and I decided to recode its menu for WordPress. First step was easy, now integrating it comes into play. Progress for the site requires a bigger and more organized menu.

Currently, the menu uses images for the background, however I’ll implement CSS3 gradients, as they’re more portable. Also, I’ll implement a secret technique, written in PHP, of generating CSS colours based on a primary one – such as generating a lighter or darker shade of red on-the-fly. This way, I’ll be able to pick a main colour, say blue, and let this technique generate my gradients, my borders and my shadows, all based on blue.

New menu

I’ll probably release the CSS code and how to integrate it into your own theme.
