Since my latest post I wandered the Internet to find something interesting to blog about. The news are overwhelming. Automattic acquires PollDaddy, Firefox 3.1 Beta is now live with many enhancements, Microsoft web installer turns to open-source, Adobe is now shipping the CS4 suite and again Microsoft is no longer interested in the Yahoo merger, which in turn decides to cut 3500 jobs, mainly in its sales and finance departments.

I thought Yahoo was on top of the wave with the new updates like the Beta calendar and the analytics solution.

and finally some great GUI examples at GUI Championships. I’m not actually a big fan of Windows theming and skinning, but I have some friends who turned their XP installation to an enhanced Vista one with just some skins and icons.
