I have recently started reconsidering blogging and restarting it. It’s been a while since I did it on a regular basis. And I like to write and share experiments. I stopped working directly with clients and shifted my focus towards SaaS.
I will now share my reintegration process, a loose series of actions, more or less precise, with zero resemblance with a space shuttle’s orbit re-entry. I have been developing themes and plugins, but during the past months (dare I say years?) I lost control and traffic dwindled. What now?
I started collecting clicks (I have a jar at home), generating heatmaps and testing A/B variants of parts of my site. I will keep the current tests running for 30 days, gathering data and insights and slowly writing articles. Documenting my actions.
Here’s what I’m currently working on:
At the same time, I purchased a new domain – wpdublin.com – and I intend to do something about it. It’s going to happen relatively soon.
I have also restarted reading books. Not audiobooks or Kindle books, but physical, paperback books. My list of read books reached 25 during the past 2 years and it’s steadily growing.
