I’ll just leave this here as a quick reference. I needed an “info” icon the other day, and I needed a unicode HTML character. I found two of them, which did the job, but they are pretty poorly designed for smaller font sizes.
Nevertheless, here they are:

<span class="unicode">& #x1F6C8;</span>
<i class="fa fa-info-circle"></i>
The last one is FontAwesome, just for comparison.
Remove spaces after
& in the code examples above.
