I have just released version 7.8 of ImagePress. This version breaks lots of things in anticipation of version 8.
Note #1: Backup your plugin files before upgrading to ImagePress 7.8.0.
Note #2: If you don’t want to modify your current theme or plugin flow, do not update to this version.
No template override
The theme template file – single-image.php – is not required anymore. The new update injects the code in your single.php (or singular.php) template. That’s less customisation and worry-free theme updates. Note that you will have to remove the template file, otherwise you’ll see duplicated content.
Some themes automatically add the featured image to the post, and this can be prevented by using a CSS tweak.
Bulk uploader
You can now upload hundreds of images in one go, without selecting them one by one. That was the initial purpose of the bulk uploader, before it got sidetracked with more and more details and features.
