I’ve been closely following ClassicPress and calmPress development and I’m glad to see there is progress and there is a lot of activity around them.
I’ve put my thoughts “on paper” a while ago and I’ve been thinking on forking WordPress myself. The only issue was (and still is) time. But I still want to do it, and even if the project doesn’t take off, at least I will have learned something from the whole experience. This project will also help with getting more in-depth experience ith WordPress and with contributing to ClassicPress, based on my findings.
Without further ado, I decided to call my fork b3, as WordPress is itself a fork of b2 (a long forgotten CMS).
Quick note: Nothing might come out of this initiative.
