What started as a random experiment and an attempt to replicate the Google Lighthouse audit has turned into a complex project which eventually became a SaaS.
What is SpeedFactor?
SpeedFactor is a service which allows you, the user, to track various aspects of your website, such as speed, performance, security and SEO.
SpeedFactor measures and stores lots of speed indexes, values, variables and assets in order to generate progress charts and in order to report on improvements. It does this by offering grades, scores, tips and tricks.
There’s also lots of things in the pipeline, such as personalised tips and advice, estimations, extrapolation, trends and more. SpeedFactor uses bleeding edge technologies in order to run SUMs (Simulated User Monitoring).
How does it work?
SpeedFactor visits your site every night and stores everything it needs. SpeedFactor also uses Google Lighthouse for some of its reports. I have created a custom test suite based on my experience with speed optimization over the course of more than a decade.
Who’s it for?
If you’re a hobbyist, a freelancer, a professional SEO person, a growth hacker, an agency or a small business, you can benefit from SpeedFactor in many ways. SpeedFactor has a free trial, so it’s easy to test drive it before upgrading to a paid plan.
