In the past 6 months, I’ve been bouncing between several online marketplaces and my own website – getButterfly.com – for my flagship WordPress plugins, Active Analytics and Lighthouse. Maintenance and management of payments, marketing, and support was a bit clunky and required more of my time than I could offer. So I went exclusively with CodeCanyon (Envato).
My plugins are now fully supported via CodeCanyon and automatic updates are provided using a third-party plugin (free) – Git Updater. This will change in the following months to a custom solution, a one-file, no-license, no purchase-code, no-dependency check.
If you are using any of my plugins, make sure you keep them up-to-date. Check your Downloads section in your CodeCanyon (Envato) account and get the latest version.
